If your bad days are becoming months or years, you may need a helping hand to see your way past the rough spots.
A lot of women reach for food when they’re unhappy and that leads to weight gain and feelings of frustration and helplessness. It’s easy to think that the problem is too much food. It’s not. Overeating is really just a symptom of the problem. The problem is stress and not knowing how to handle it before it gets out of hand.
I’m really passionate about wanting to empower you to value yourself and respect your body more.
For years I devalued myself and put my happiness in the hands of other people because I had no self-esteem. Because I didn’t feel very respectful of my time or talents, I worked much too hard and accepted far too little, trying to please others in hopes of earning their respect and appreciation. I never confronted people or situations that made me feel uncomfortable.
When I got hurt and ended up feeling betrayed and manipulated, I bottled up my resentment, and turned my anger toward myself. I ate out of control for almost a year because I was too hurt and afraid to face the reality of my life. I had to change, but I was too scared so I just kept eating potato chips, trying to crunch down my anger. My self-hatred carried a consequence of having to lose nearly everything in order to reclaim myself. In order to get back up and start over again, I had to stop blaming the world and myself for my misery and start facing my feelings.
That’s why I coach women to create their own confidence by transforming the anger, hurt and sadness they feel into positive momentum that pushes them forward to achieve their dreams. Hard-earned experience has taught me that when you hate your body and you can’t stop thinking about, craving and eating food, you’re really just reacting to feeling disappointed and helpless about some part of your life.
The fat on your thighs or your saggy stomach and arm jiggles or wrinkles is not really the problem. We’ve become so conditioned to use our poor bodies as the scapegoat for the stress and hurt in our lives that we never think twice to question what’s really going on behind the emotions that drive our habits. If you’re angry with youself and hating your body, you have to look deeper to find what’s really hurting you in order to break free of the self-sabotaging patterns in your life. I’m here to help you do that.
