In Gratitude to Singer/Songwriter, George Michael for His Inspiration and Beautiful Music

One day after he died on Christmas Day of 2016, I saw a video entitled, “George Michael Became A Recluse Because He Hated the Way He Looked.” Shocked and stunned that such a physically attractive man would feel so insecure about his appearance, that began a quest for me to explore more about his life. What I discovered about him, his brilliant talent as a singer/songwriter and his dedication to his craft, inspired me to pull myself out of my own depression. I’m heartbroken to know that he lived such a pained and tortured life. But I’m so grateful to him for inspiring me to embrace more of my own life and to continue my writing to give voice to my gifts.
