Don’t you find that there are just some songs that instantly make you feel great? I love music. It has so many happy memories for me.
Today while on Facebook I visited my friend, Linda Storey’s Facebook page. There I saw a Barry White video that she recently posted that took me back in time and gave me an instant lift. Before I saw the video, I was feeling a bit tired and thinking that I didn’t get enough sleep. But as I watched it and really got into it, and fully enjoyed the music, I was singing and dancing in my chair. I have such happy memories of Barry White’s music.

Born in 1962, I grew up in the 70’s. As a young teenager, I lived with my father and my stepmother, Rosie. While my dad was away at work on Saturday mornings Rosie and I would go through the house and clean. I used to love cleaning with her because we’d listen to all of our favorite music together while we danced and sang, twirling and sweeping through the house making everything sparkle. It was a wonderful profusion of clean smells, happy music and busy hands.
Barry White and the girls from his Love Unlimited Orchestra was always one of our favorite albums. We played it over and over again. So each time I hear it, I think of those wonderful Saturdays whizzing ’round the house, dancing and cleaning to the beat.
Now here’s the Youtube video for you to enjoy! I hope you love it as much as I do.
