As a Certified Master Practitioner of Neuro Linguistic Programming, I think that it is valuable for you to have a better understanding of how you can benefit by being coached by someone using this method. However, first, I’d like to break down the meaning of the words Neuro Linguisitic Programming.

Neuro – We process information through our 5 senses and that determines what we think and how we feel.

Linguistic – This is the language part of our brain and it determines what we say, how we say it and

how we are influenced by what and how we say something relative to our individual experience based on our sensory input.

Programming – This is the part of our brain that processes and replicates what we do based on our beliefs relative to our experience and conclusions of how the world is organized. This is how we structure our beliefs and how we encode information in our brain for future retrieval.

In short, NLP recognizes that each person is unique yet we all have the same basic equipment, a brain and the ability to make distinctions and think based on our own individual needs and model of the world. That means that when we use more of our brains and think in a way that is in greater alignment with our goals then we have a better chance of appreciating greater degrees of success.

Consider this. It’s been determined that we use less than an average of 10% of our brains. People like Einstein may have used a bit more but still we are largely limited to a relatively low percentage. However, we are able to increase and expand our abilities when we follow the foundations of learning from NLP.

You can use NLP to make any change that you desire and become more effective in every aspect of your life. Among some of the things that you can do with NLP are the following: You can become more adept at solving problems, achieve your goals, get clear about your values, acquire the skills and strategies of people you admire, use time more effectively, overcome fears and phobias, eliminate old limiting beliefs, create new healthy habits, become motivated, more organized, overcome allergies, increase learning ability, boost your memory, overcome various types of performance anxiety, learn thousands of techniques to develop your potential in a vast variety of ways.

I would highly recommend that you give this magnificent body of work a try. It is one of the best ways available to be able to make change in a conscious way. By having the ability to think about old situations in new and different ways that empower you rather than disempower you, you will find that challenging behavioral changes will be much easier using NLP since the change must first occur on the cognitive level.
