The R.E.C.L.A.I.M. Method

Our coaching program empowers women after abuse struggling with depression and overeating. As abuse survivors, we understand that bingeing and food obsession has been our client’s only way of expressing their needs and feeling safe. Living under the shadow of abuse creates a great deal of fear and insecurity. This is why we teach women how to use their story to leverage their personal power. By giving women the tools to cope with their anxiety and fear, we teach them how to create safe spaces for themselves so they can begin to feel more relaxed around letting go of old crutches. In a safe, loving environment, they learn how to transform their negative emotions to tap into their wiser, stronger selves. This shift in perspective leads to a discovery of wells of self-compassion, self-love and self-respect that they have been craving. Seeing themselves as powerful, positive and filled with potential, they gain the confidence to step into their power and reinvent their lives. By taking steps doing things that push them out of their old comfort zones, they reinforce a new belief that they deserve the best. It’s this confidence and sense of self-worth that makes it possible for them to get excited about taking steps to get healthier at their pace. Check out our coaching system steps below:

Cope with Your Stress

Stress often triggers anxiety, fears and insecurities. If you were raised in an alcoholic or abusive home, it can be very challenging to calm your thoughts, and feel safe. Every situation can feel like a crisis. Don’t beat up on yourself if you struggle with overeating or any other compulsive behavior. It’s been your body’s only way of relieving the pressure. Holding onto excess weight has been your body’s only way of feeling safe. But you don’t have to tolerate feeling powerless anymore. Learning to relax and quiet your mind and let go of your old victim story enables you to connect with your heart and open up to inner wisdom so you can think more clearly.

Compassionate Self-care

As you make your peace of mind a priority, you will feel better about yourself, mind, body and soul. Seeing yourself from the eyes of compassion will develop a newfound sense of being worthy and lovable. You’ll feel really good about taking better care of yourself, and discover a sense of pride around the prospect of getting healthier your way. The power is in your hands to change your life. By taking small daily steps and going at at your own pace you will release your resistance to getting thinner and healthier. As you recognize that you don’t have to be your own worst enemy, it will feel more natural to nurture new habits of treating yourself and your body with love and respect.

Reclaim Your Life

Congratulations! You’ve just raised the bar on your life by embracing the freedom that comes with taking responsibility and choosing to respond differently to old situations. Everything changes when you like, respect and learn to love and accept yourself. As you peel away the layers of food obsession, and discover a new kind of power in your life, you’ll feel relaxed about taking steps to set boundaries and surround yourself by supportive, caring people. Having more energy and feeling good will become a priority in your life, and you’ll find that you have little tolerance for pity parties and feeling down. Seeing yourself in this new light, your confidence will soar. Now you can boldly move forward and go for your dreams.

The Power of Questions – Exposing Obsession

Obsession lives and breathes in eating addiction. If you’re a woman struggling with excess weight and overeating you could be using food to distract yourself from an obsession.
