A friend and brilliant colleague of mine, Marcia Merrill, The Transition Chick, forwarded an email to me. As I read it, something caught my eye.

“People Come Into Our Life For A Reason, A Season Or A Lifetime.”

That made me think.

I’m sure, like me, you’ve experienced disappointments in friendships and other relationships. Oftentimes friends and loved ones disappear from our lives and we’re left wondering …

“Why?”

That hurts.

Sometimes we turn to food to soothe our aching hearts.

During times like those, we are withholding love from ourselves. Although you may be drawn to food during these hard times, it isn’t going to satisfy you because you can never get enough of what you don’t really want.

As a woman who has struggled with my own compulsive eating for decades, I am now realizing that food does not equal love, comfort or companionship. Now I teach other women how to recognize that in their own lives. They also learn how to listen to their bodies and lose weight by eating the foods that they love and deal with their emptiness and stress head on without resorting to food.

As a Certified Weight Loss Coach, I teach my Juicy Women a process called Intuitive Eating and combine that with cutting edge energy coaching tools to cut through their old negative programming, bust down fear barriers and reclaim their inherent power over themselves and food. That makes them feel and act more powerfully in every aspect of their lives.

By having those tools, literally at their fingertips, they are able to tap into their own body awareness, develop their abilities to discriminate, and learn how to eat when they are hungry. They can even get out of their ruts of feeling overwhelmed and frustrated by using these techniques.

In my new ongoing pilot program, Losing Weight Without Dieting, my clients are learning day by day that food is indeed not the answer.

I’d like to share a simple testimonial from a couple of the women who started the program just two weeks ago.

Linda says, “I can’t believe it. The foods that I thought that I loved, I don’t even like. In fact, they suck.” I won’t eat anything that I don’t love anymore.”

Brenda is now noticing that there are several times during the day that she was just drawn to reaching for food because she was bored. Today she has new options to deal with her boredom.

Kari’s tickled pink because she now realizes that she can feel more peaceful and relaxed by using a special anchor that is meaningful to her. That relaxes her instantly and eases the overwhelm which neutralizes her desire to binge.

For years, Linda, Brenda, Kari and the other women in the program just ate to fill the void, never really tasting their food. Today they are tasting,  smelling and really enjoying their food. Best of all, they are beginning to get more joy out of living every day and feel better about having more choices.

They are getting healthier and thinner from the inside out. No more diets for these gals! Does that idea appeal to you too?

Here’s a quickie test to see if Losing Weight Without Dieting is for you.

Ask yourself, how often do I reach for food or think about it when I know that I’m not hungry?

If the answer is more than 3 times a week, and you just know that food has you in its grip, you’re feeling overwhelmed and obsessed by constantly thinking about food, powerless over your cravings, always reaching for something to eat just to keep busy, notice that you grab the ice cream whenever you’re overwhelmed, have no idea what hunger feels like in your body, then I recommend that you…
