Procrastination and its cousin, Perfectionism! Do you know them well? Yesterday on one of my Juicy Woman calls, one of the women shared that she had a dream that she wanted to do some writing. Her challenge was that she was easily stopped by feeling that she had to make all the decisions at once. She wanted to dot all her i’s and cross all her t’s. “It had to be perfect,” she said. Another gal on the call, agreed that she was also stuck in this “p” rut. She wanted to do some writing and didn’t have the right stationery or pen. It frustrated her and she soon gave up!

That got me thinking about a situation that I had a few weeks ago. I am revamping my free ecourse. It will soon be two different products, an ehandbook and a workbook. I’ve been working with a copyeditor. In fact, if you want to jump in and get it while it’s still a freebie, do it now. There’s less than a month to take advantage of this offer. It’s a ton of information that teaches the basics of how you can shape your body by changing your thoughts. If you’ve got beliefs to bust, then snag this freebie now!

Anyway, in preparation for reworking the ecourse, I had a session with Kathleen Rake, my editor. We read through some parts of my content together. I found that there were several times when I wanted to hang on and work out every detail along the way. Kathleen told me, “Andrea, you’re paying for my services. We can come back to this and work it out later. For now, let’s get the majority of it done.”

Bam! That was a revelation. Kathleen reminded me of the importance of putting your ideas down on paper NOW so that you have something tangible. If you get hung up on looking for the perfect quote, statistic or not having the right pen, then you never get out of the starting gate!

Today think about two things that you have been putting off that when you do them, you’ll get an instant feeling of Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! Yummy! Please leave a comment and share your intentions of what ‘to do’ tickles your fancy! We’re all standing by to cheer you on!
